Support for companies involved in cooperative projects accredited by competitive clusters
Aid from Saint Malo Agglomération is conditional upon the completion of the overall funding plan for an R&D project validated by the various agencies contacted. The value of the grants awarded by Saint-Malo Agglomération is calculated for each case on its merits, based on its funding requirements, the other finance available to it and the technological and economic interest of the project.
Support for companies that employ researchers
The district will provide a grant for any SME recruiting Ph.D graduates and students to undertake a project that lies within the company's general strategy.Support for conferences and other scientific events
The same support may be provided for higher education institutions, research organisations and not-for-profit associations working in Brittany and locally organising a scientific and technological event that is directly linked to the District's main priority areas (practitioner conferences, discussions and training events are not eligible for this grant).Exemption from territorial economic levies
This exemption, which will last for 7 years, is designed for companies with fewer than 250 employees, which meet certain specific conditions (contact us for details). To benefit from the exemption, the company must allocate at least 15% of its total expenditure to research and development.

Positioning ourselves on the international stage

This aim is further supported by its partnership with the Ports of the World network.
The network was created in Saint-Malo. Members include large port cities such as Cadiz, Dublin, Genoa or Glasgow and the network has developed cultural and economic exchanges and discussions between the ports.
